The FSPO is a State body under the aegis of the Department of Finance and is subject to the terms of the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies (2016) (‘The Code’). The Code requires that non-commercial State Bodies shall be subject to Periodic Critical Review (PCR) no later than every 5 years, with a focus on the ongoing business case for each entity, its performance and efficiency and effectiveness, and its governance arrangements.
